Player Weight Match

Turn saved progression into a 1–100 player weight for Roblox Custom Matchmaking.

Overview

Player Weight Match is a Roblox Studio plugin that combines saved progression stats into a server-calculated matchmaking weight. Connect existing DataStores, balance stat importance, preview the result and deploy the generated server runtime.

Player Weight Match measures saved progression, not character mass or physics weight. It gives Roblox Custom Matchmaking a numerical signal for preferring servers with similar players.

From progression to player weight

Choose the existing DataStore and saved value for each stat, set its importance, and try the Studio simulator. The generated runtime calculates a weight from 1 to 100, exposes it on the player and saves it in a dedicated matchmaking store.

Keep progression separate

The system reads your selected progression stores without modifying them. It writes its own matchmaking records and highest-observed progression index. Its cached reads see saved data, so changes that exist only in your game’s memory are not immediately reflected.

Deploy, inspect and repair

Deploy creates ServerScriptService > PlayerWeightSystem. The plugin includes setup guidance, server API helpers and a Repair / Update action for regenerating that system while recovering its existing configuration.

The public release is 1.0. The supplied package uses 0.6.0 as its internal build identifier; that identifier may still appear in plugin metadata and repair diagnostics. Test your configuration in a separate experience before using it in production. Custom Matchmaking is a server preference signal, not a guarantee of strict progression brackets.

Read the Player Weight Match documentation for setup, default connection values, data freshness and repair guidance.
